| Multipurpose Sports Facility |
2008 was an exciting year for Lone Tree Scout Reservation. New camp
leadership, new camp programs, an expanded Health Lodge, and a bathroom
and shower facility for the center of camp were completed at LTSR.
The Lone Tree Spirit Foundation was not left out of the fun! We proposed,
and the council camp committee approved a multipurpose sports facility
located between the showerhouse and chapel. The facility includes a hard
surface for basketball and four square as well as a sand pit for volleyball and
horseshoes. The Foundation Executive Committee has raised and
appropriated $4000 to completely fund this facility and the gear to equip it.
Foundation members also invested sweat equity toward the project. Ground
was broken in Spring 2008! Improvements are still ongoing.
